ARTISTS Artists, like all professionals, need exposure. Portfolio harnesses the ever-present smart phone home screen to provide this publicity. Artists create a secure profile, add keywords, and upload their wallpaper images and links, or enter URLs to display images, videos, or HTML. Up to 10 wall paper files. Selected wallpaper item can be pushed to main/start image. Artists can post up to 10 new product images on top of the wallpaper (see album covers above) or videos of products/audio to sell, and offer downloads upon sales approvals. These top-level items remain even after users swipe through wallpaper images. Paid portfolio owners (artists) can log-in securely to change the wallpaper 24/7 through a Portfolio account they purchase through the app, for a duration. The app also measures views, clicks and unique visitors that artists may access through the artists' menu (METRICS). TALENT SCOUTS - FANS When launched, users are prompted to select one artist's portfolio. Their smart phone is thereafter wallpapered with full-screen images (jpeg/png), or a full-screen video, or live HTML as the background wallpaper. Wallpaper is swiped to see other images/videos or HTML pages of this particular artist. The wallpaper is interactive, so images or videos have a URL set to it by the artist/manager, and the HTML has all functions and hyperlinks like a regular HTML page. Taping an image or a link on an HTML wallpaper opens Portfolio's own internal browser, not leaving the app to the smart phone's browser. If the wallpaper is an HTML page, and an artist posts an album or art for sale, I can purchase it through the app. It will also save my info for future purchases. - As a Portfolio viewer, I SEARCH from a menu of artist's. I can save 50 artists in my favorites. - When an update is made by a Portfolio artist: if I am not in the app, the app icon blinks on my home screen. If within the app, that newly updated content loads. - Settings allows me to turn on/off which artists from whom I wish to receive alerts. - The app auto-launches upon power-up of my smartphone, and also after 1 minute of inactivity. - I can share this app by clicking share, and selecting any number of my smartphone or facebook contacts. - When I first download the app I enter my email and smartphone number to receive alerts. I also allow facebook access to access friends. facebook integration posts my selection of a new artist profile STRATEGY The Portfolio app displays all of a smart phone's primary functions – by icon – at the base of the screen, whether in portrait or landscape mode, and they are superimposed above the background/wallpaper. Clicking APPS, I can open and access all of my phone's apps. This induces me to not close this app. The app also has a TEXT icon which accesses my phone's text app, but from within the Portfolio app, so when I am done with a text session, a call or an email, it brings me back to this app that was never truly closed. The app actually channeled all my text, email and phone communications within the Portfolio app. The primary objective is that the app remains the focus of the smart phone throughout the day. From start-up and after inactivity. This is achieved by the app channeling all communications through its interface.
